Requirements for viewing virtual scenes
In rare cases some users of Windows and/or internet explorer may experience faulty virtual 360° scenes.

Windows and/or Internet Explorer users.
A component required by the virtual panoramas to display properly was not included in some operating systems ( this is mainly limited to a small number of Windows 95 and Windows XP releases), in this case you may be prompted to begin the automatic download and installation of the Microsoft Virtual Machine component. You can also choose to download the latest version of this component from the bottom of this page, as a self installing file (download, then click to install to your system). Windows XP users
also have the option of downloading Windows XP Service Pack 1, the free update to the Windows XP system available from Microsoft by following this link.

Microsoft's latest free security updates for Windows and Internet Explorer may cause the 360° scenes to stop working, if you have updated your browser recently and you find the scenes do not appear you will need to download the latest version of Microsoft's virtual machine component from the bottom of this page, as a self installing file (download, then click to install to your system).

Download the Microsoft Virtual Machine component (build 3805, released Dec 2002) for Windows 95/98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows XP
Approximate size of the component - 5.5 megabytes.
Download time -30 minutes on 56k modem.

Minor performance issues for optimally viewing virtual scenes ...

Overly jerky movement while rotating the scene
This can be related to the refresh rate settings of your

graphic card. It is normally recommended to have this set
above 70Hz. To check your settings - right click on your
desktop, select Properties, Settings, Advanced, Adapter. Older/low performance graphics cards can have this effect too.

Poor colour quality.
This may be a result of having the colour settings set too

low on your computer. To change this setting - right click on
your desktop, select properties, settings - choose either True Colour (16 bit) or High Colour (32 bit), ensure you are NOT set to 256 colours. The High Colour setting is recommended for optimal viewing. You will need to restart your computer for these changes to take effect.

Extremely poor image quality and/or colours.
This problem is related to the graphics card installed in

your computer. A low performance card can result in low
grade colour and image quality. This is a rare problem affecting only older cards and/or systems, to view the scenes correctly you may need to upgrade your graphics card.
